Letter from the Chair
Dear Esteemed Delegates:
I’d like to welcome to JHUMUNC XXIII. My name is Pranavi Pallinti, and I will be your chair for UNHCR. I cannot wait to see all the ideas you have to present at JHUMUNC in a committee that is so relevant and applicable to today’s society.
To tell you a little bit about myself, I am a sophomore at Johns Hopkins, majoring in Biomedical Engineering. Some things I am involved in on campus are SHARE and nanotechnology research at the medical campus.
I have been doing Model United Nations since my freshmen year of high school so this is my sixth year doing MUN and my second year working with JHUMUNC. Last year, I acted as a Dias for the United Nations Environmental Programme. In high school, I participated in various conferences as a delegate and as a Chair.
I am very excited to tackle these extremely important topics with you over the four days of the conference in February. If you have any question or comments at all, please feel free to reach out to me.
See you all in February!
Chair, United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR)
