1973: Office of the Special Prosecutor
In June 1972, the media exploded with reports of a break in at the Watergate Office Building in Washington D.C. targeting the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee. Following months of revelations, President Richard Nixon appointed Archibald Cox to be special counsel to investigate the Watergate Scandal, independent of the hierarchy of the United States Department of Justice. Delegates will serve in a variety of roles in the Department of Justice and it is on you to uncover what happened and who is responsible. It seems that a number of actors could have been involved and it may even go to the highest levels of government. All the while, you are getting weird messages and mixed signals from the White House as you navigate the investigation. You also feel pressure from Congress and the media. How will you navigate the many stakeholders and will you successfully discover who’s responsible and bring them to justice?
