Letter from the Chair
Dear Esteemed Delegates:
I want to personally welcome you to JHUMUNC XXIII and I hope you have an amazing time! My name is Aileen Feng and I will be serving as your chair for the Cabinet of Nigeria this year. For some background on myself, I am currently a sophomore at Johns Hopkins University, planning to double major in Biophysics and Psychology. I have been involved with Model UN since my sophomore year of high school and have competed in multiple collegiate conferences. I was also lucky enough to serve as chair of the Special Committee on Peacekeeping Operations last year at JHUMUNC. Outside of JHUMUNC, I also give tours and host prospective students, involved with A Place to Talk, and part of the Alpha Phi Omega fraternity. You can also find me at almost any coffee shop on campus, napping in my bed, or crashing my friends’ dorms.
This year, we will be discussing Independence from British Colonization and the Reconstruction of the Cabinet. Both issues are very comprehensive and relevant in the future for Nigeria. I cannot wait for all of your perspectives and solutions for these two issues to ensure the best success for Nigeria as the decision made in the cabinet will forever affect Nigeria.
I hope you are all ready to actively participate and collaborate with other delegates to create a thorough resolution for these topics. Get ready for a fun-filled 4 days!! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me! My dais and I cannot wait to meet all of you in February!
Chair, Cabinet of Nigeria
